Writing Tight for the Web 
 

Students Learn "Less is More" at One-Day Web Writing Workshop

The Whole Group

Students received personal attention from career professionals at "Writing Tight for the Web," a workshop that gave students an opportunity to develop their online writing skills.

Ten students attended the workshop that was held March 24, 2001 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott in Ocala, Florida.


Topics included:

  • Nuts and Bolts: Learn How to Craft Your Writing
  • Writing for the Internet: Learn How to Edit, Tighten and Enliven Your Writing
  • Production: Learn About the Production End of Writing

Workshop presenters were St. Petersburg Times Editorial Writer and Columnist Bill Maxwell, Gainesville Sun Online Producer Florida Bridgewater-Alford and St. Petersburg Times General Assignment Reporter Jon Wilson. Workshop sponsors included Star-Banner Newspaper and Role Models Foundation.
