Grammar for Journalists

Students Sharpen Grammar Skills at Journalism Workshop

Students learned the importance of grammar in journalism at "Grammar for Journalists: The Lifeblood of the Profession."

This one-day workshop was held Saturday, March 23, 2002 at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications in Gainesville, Fla.

The workshop was limited to 30 students so that participants could receive one-on-one experience in journalism.

Presenters included St. Petersburg Times Editorial Writer and Columnist Bill Maxwell and Santa Fe Community College English Professor Iris Hart.

The event was sponsored by The Knight Division in the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, Role Models Foundation, Star-Banner Newspaper and St. Petersburg Times.
